Desert River Sea: Portraits of the Kimberley

Desert River Sea: Portraits of the Kimberley at the Art Gallery of WA was series of eight complex interconnected arts projects across the Kimberley region that together formed an exhibition, public program and major publication. Co-Curated with Carly Lane, the exhibition was the first Kimberley arts showcase in over 30 years.

Working between the Kimberley and Perth, I ensured that both parties needs were met and negotiated to the highest calibre. These dichotomous environments needed a specific set of expert communication skills.

Many of my facilitation projects involve careful consultation combined with rapid flexibility to deliver multi- layered outcomes for individuals and their respective organisations. This also involves working one on one with artists to ascertain their dream projects and securing grant funding to make them a reality.
